Do House League Baseball Players Need to Try Out in Brampton?
Understand the difference between registering for recreational baseball and trying out for Select or Rep teams in Brampton.
Recreational baseball and travel-team selection are different processes. BMBI separately publishes recreational registration and Rep/Select tryout registration, so parents should make sure they are using the form for the pathway they actually want.
Registration vs tryout
A registration secures or requests participation in a program under its rules. A tryout is an evaluation used to select a travel-team roster.
Current example
BMBI’s registration page currently separates 2026 recreational player registration from 2027 Rep/Select tryout registration.
